North Sydney, Nova Scotia - Port Aux Bsaque, Newfoundland

Once again i'm on the boat, waiting for it to dock. i guess the boat ride was okay, i really don't know. it was for me anyway. i slept the hole way. i'm writing this half loopy from the gravol, but you know, if i'm not loopy i'm not living.

this blog entire is going to be shorter. only because everyone around me is packing up and running around like chickens with their heads cut off. the boat just docked, i really need to go now.

Oh mys,

A lucky penny

i always keep a lucky penny either in my right shoe, or my pocket. i'm starting to think that i really shouldn't keep a lucky penny with me anymore. The start of November, my birthday to be exact i started caring a lucky penny with me everywhere. I had hoped i would get luckier, i guess i was wrong, my grandmother has been in the hospital twice since my birthday. I went on this trip with dad, nan goes in the hospital again for the third time. Mom called to say, nan's not very good. Have you ever had ever had someone talk about you right in front of you but not tell you what they were talking about, well thats how i just felt.

i feel like its my fault, my fault that nan's in the hospital again. i know its not, but i feel that i wanted to be luckier, so my grandmother got worse. i had it worse off, way worse off with the lucky penny. I have finally taken the pennies out of my shoes and out of my pockets. I feel that i'm lucky enough with all i have, and everything in my life, i just want my grandmother to be better.

Thats just the way it is,
till next time,

New Year's Resolutions

5 tips for making and keeping your New Year's Resolutions according to A Beautiful Mess
1. Think long term, but Manageable.
2. Create a plan, and plan to start NOW.
3. Write your goal down and display it somewhere where you are sure you'll see it every day.
4. Reward yourself, and remind yourself why you made it your goal in the first place.
And last but most definitely not least :
5. Have a way to track your progress.

My new year's resolutions are;
*be a better blogger
*travel more
*be more active, and stay in shape
*be a little girly-er than i am

One might wonder about the last one, me i know its true and hopefully i am able to achive it.
Right now i'm only girly when theres something very formal going on. i'm a total tom-boy, i really want to change that and hopefully i will.

All the best,
till next time,
Zander

Nothing like it.

There is nothing like sitting in 1 chair for 4 hours.
there is nothing like reading your 2 favourite blogs for 4 hours.
there is nothing like skype calling your 3 best friends for 4 hours.
there is nothing like it.
and there is most definitely nothing like being handed a free coffee :)

I am still at marine atlantic, man is it ever boring here. there is never anything to do around here. It definitely sucks to be the cut-off truck. The next boat that sails isn't until mid-night. woop woop. Most likley getting on that one unless a ton of car traffic comes.

By the way, there is most definitely nothing like being called a 16-year-old slut by some random dude that you don't know because you have piercings and your getting a tattoo soon.

Thats just life,
till next time,
Zander.

North Sydney, Nova Scotia - North Sydney, Nova Scotia

yup you read the title right, It starts in north sydney and ends here too. until another blog post. We got off the Highlanders and went to Boston, Massachusetts. we unloaded fish. Drove to Montreal, Quebec empty. Loaded fruit and vegetables for St. John's, Newfoundland. Right now i'm blogging from north sydney, only part of the way done our journey.

As you can read in another blog post, i hate marine atlantic. Our journey to get here was great until we got to Vermont. the road that should only take half an hour too 2 and a half hours. There was about 4 inches of snow on the roads. There was a 12 car pile up at mile marker 168 headed south, and at mile marker 172 there was a 12 car pile up going north. If it wasn't bad enough we got stoped for both. yet people had to be heros and still pass us with 4 inches of snow. I watched the cars as they passed us. yet when we got to mile marker 172 it was them that got put off the road, it was them that crashed.

Oh well, they might never learn,
till next time,
Zander.

{P.S. Pictures from my trip will come as soon as i get home}

Marine Atlantic ...

Oh how i hate marine atlantic. Not only does the service suck, but me and dad have been here since 4:30 this morning, we drove all night to get to this place. We got our tickets, and went out to the truck, and went to sleep, only to wake up to the annoying sound of the intercom blaring "we wont be sailing and vessels until after 3:00 when Environment Canada issues a new weather report." What a wonderful way to wake up.

Don't even get me started on the prices of food and crap. OMG. We aren't allowed to leave the terminal unless we have a letter from God to get back in. They spent a fortune downtown Port-Aux-Basque and North Sydney to make it nice so people like me could walk around, yea marine atlantic is ruining that.

Oh well,
Till next time,
Zander.

Port Aux Basque, Newfoundland - North Sydney, Nova Scotia

I am no longer in Newfoundland. Me and dad made the ferry....
its 6:30 in Nova Scotia and the ferry is docking in a half hour. I can't believe it, why are there so many good looking guys on this stupid boat ?

I might as well tell you all now, I love saving money, I don't like wasting it. when i went to buy cereal from the store, cereal that would cost you $0.69 at a truck stop, cost ed $2.00. I was pissed, but i got to have my cereal. The anoucment just came on to say that we are now docking, I must go, before dad gets to mad.

Til next time,

We left Clarenville at 10 this morning and right now its quarter after 9 in the night and i'm sitting in Port Aux Basque.
